The gold work performed by Bezalel and his staff must have been impressive. With only fire and some tools, they produced an amazing amount of jewelry-like quality with their precious-metal sculpting skills.

God likes gold, and likens our process of character refinement to that of gold.

He (the Lord ) will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.  Mal. 3:3
